Courtesy of Keith Wilson and Dave Haines, Oxford Aviation Group took 13 members to take part in two of the Staverton airside tours that they ran on the Thursday of the Cheltenham Gold Cup week. Between us, we raised £130 for the chosen airport charity fly2help and saw over 120 aircraft during our walk around.
Please note that they only take bigger groups around during the Cheltenham Gold Cup period and during the rest of the year, smaller groups of 5 are preferred. These guys working with the relevant airport management, still manage to provide a very good look at an awful lot of the hangars, although some still remain out of bounds due to the owners request.
Although photography was allowed everywhere except towards the Babock (helicopter) hangar, we were asked not to publish any that were taken inside hangars. I have published the outside shots on my Flickr account;
