Hi all,
the job today took me to Southend Airport, a place I haven’t visited since January 2011. It has changed since then especially with regards to airliner traffic and a new terminal. Fortunately it is still possible to get a reasonable view of what is parked on the airfield and the log below was gleaned from around 40 minutes of driving around. EC.135 G-POLF (previously seen as G-ESEX) flew through and Stapleford based DA.42 G-SELC was circuit bashing.

Whilst travelling from Southend to Stansted, the following three RAF Typhoons buzzed me over Chelmsford. They seemed to be in a holding pattern and in a V formation. Reports from elsewhere suggest that later they did a flypast at RAF Northolt.

Now I had travelled to Stansted thinking that I needed the Saudi A340 HZ-HMS2 which several people this week have told me is a very rare beast. Imagine my disappointment when on getting home and checking, I found that I had seen this machine on airways in 2014. Still the Pegasus TC-DCH and G450 HZ-MS4C made up for it.
