Final stop of the day was a small military museum near the coast.
The For Freedom Museum is dedicated to liberation of West Flanders and the Battle of the Scheldt.
For Euro 10 it is an interesting museum if you enjoy a little more than just aircraft.
Whilst there is one aircraft outside, the other three exhibits are inside. However those exhibition area’s were closed as they were updating the exhibition rooms and the aircraft would not be viewable until next year. I therefore decided to ask if it was possible to view the other aviation exhibits. I was lucky, as one of the brothers who owned the museum was behind the counter and heard me ask. He kindly offered to open the room where two of the larger exhibits were, but I was unable to view the parts of the Boeing B-17 F Flying Fortress. However I was told that it was only a Tailfin that was on display, so I don’t think I was going to concern myself with that!
