Went down to meet Alwyn Tomlinson at lunchtime as we both wanted to visit Manchester Town Hall….. the reason being:
Manchester helped celebrate the 100 years anniversary of the Royal Air Force with an event outside the town hall. The event was called the RAF100 Aircraft Tour.
A few exhibits from various local groups, as well as further afield attended.
Great for many people who do not normally attend air shows or museums, they were able to get close and in some of the iconic aircraft.
Plenty of things to do for the kids as well as adults.
It was advertising itself as a ‘meet members of the Royal Air Force in an interactive STEM/Techno Zone and learn more about how we’re creating the next generation Air Force’.
