Posted on behalf of Malcolm Greenbaum;
I took G-BDNU C172 down to the south west in the company of Malcolm P and Malcolm T, departing Elstree around 0835.
First stop was Dunkeswell, arriving around 10am. Plenty of hangars open, very friendly locals, especially the legend that is Trevor who seems to have built, repaired or owned most of the aircraft on the field. Showed us around 4 separate hangars and was fascinating to listen to.

Then it was a short 25 minute flight over to Perranporth. A German couple

There was an MD900 flying down the coast at around 1340, presumably one of
the Cornwall Air Ambulance machines, but sadly they have two. Anyone pick it
up on a radar box?
Then a 30 minute flight in beautiful scenery to Lands End. Not much here,
but good to see a lot of the Scilly Isles Skybus fleet. In addition G-IGGS
DHC-6 flew over the airfield en route from Scilly Isles to Exeter and G-CBML
was seen taxying out when passing Newquay on the way home so all aircraft
accounted for.

Then it was a two and a half hour flight home, passing some more spectacular
Cornwall scenery.
We flew past St Merryn on the way home and some speedy camera work from Malc
P identified G-BUKR Rallye but not what appeared to be an N- registered
Cessna 172 and it looks like it begins N53… Any ideas?
Hope of interest to some.
