These logs are slightly dated as I had a PC failure whilst I was away rendering the keyboard unusable.
I had never been to Aberdeen so as a result of needing to make a flight this year to retain my BA status I decided it was high time to collect a few helicopters. Looking at Overseas trips whilst some good fares were available the amount of traffic is not really up to where it was so the chances of making too much were not great hence a domestic flight with no testing or hassle.
I flew up from Heathrow on G-EUPK arriving into Aberdeen early afternoon. The following were noted at LHR of interest and then on arrival in Aberdeen.

The flight North was smooth and in just 65 minutes we were on final approach to Runway 16 at Aberdeen. Once disembarked I made my way to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Any odd numbered room on the 4th or 5th Floor here will have excellent views of all the action.
I was joined my Michael Greenway for the duration of my stay who had driven up from the West Midlands arriving about 5 minutes after I did!

The two freight aircraft stayed the same all week so will not log them again.
The Hotel has “The Offshore Bar and Grill” but 5 mins walk away is the Greene King Pub, Dyce Farm. This was very good especially the Carvery and it has a very wide ranging Menu for all tastes and some excellent beer and Ales. All the nights we spent in Aberdeen we ate here. You should be able to get in without booking in advance.
