Evening all,
Today has been a cool and very wet day with incessant rain. Certainly no shorts today 🙁

First port of call was Braidwood. Nothing was noted at this small airfield.
From here the B52 road passes through the Hills to the coast at Batemans Bay. The whole area was severely affected by the recent bush fires. The scenery is stunning but nearly every tree for over 100kms was either charred or burnt. The air was still full of the stench of fire and burnt wood. It is also amazing to see first hand the random nature of these fires. You pass houses surrounded by burnt trees that are unmarked and yet the house next door is completely destroyed. On the plus side plenty of Kangaroos have been seen today sheltering from the rain in fields and forests.
Next call was Moruya. Around 7 or 8 hangers here but all closed today. Just two out on the field as follows:

From here we joined the Princes Highway North to Nowra. Again on this 140km journey nearly every tree was again burnt. The fire damage stopped at the boundary of Nowra Airfield.
