Firstly thank you to Bob Prescott for starting the ball rolling with this museum. I used his format and cross referenced my photographs to his listing. One or two C/n’s were different, but believe that they are now resolved, notes are attached.

As it mentions below, the main storage is excluded and is still being reviewed.

Anyway, the visit to this museum was going to be one of the highlights of the trip. It is one of a number of museums known worldwide and quite often on peoples ‘bucket list’.

As I have mentioned in earlier reports, we had already visited the museum, however on that day it was closed due to security reasons and we were denied entry by armed security. We therefore had a look around the perimeter at what we could have seen! After making the visit today, the previous views were nothing compared to what we would indeed see.

We had contacted the museum to ensure that it was open, so after our morning tour of Ben Gurion, we returned to the museum, it was fantastic and very different to others that I have visited

It was certainly one museum that I would not forget. You have the normal exhibits neatly lined up, most of them in the open, with a few under shelters. Then you have five revetments, where stored fighter and training aircraft were located, after that you have to walk past another two storage area’s, where a few of the larger aircraft, such as B707’s, DC3 and two Noratlas N.2501D’s were. The path then leads on to the main storage area, in which you could still identify many aircraft, however many bits of metal were also lying about. This particular area is still being reviewed and does not form part of this report.
