Just a quick line that might help those wanting to get great pics at city airport.

There is a car park now open at Royal Albert dock (E16 2QT) opposite the airport with unobstructed views of the airport. It is at the Yi-Ban chinese restaurant (Great food). It is pay and display (£12 All Day and lower intervals). There is a small Cafe which does a good breakfast for £6.50 coffee/tea etc at reasonable prices.

Please pass this info on to any groups or websites that might find it useful as if it does not get supported it won’t last and as good places to park and do photography are rare in the UK Please support it.

“Hi,

I can confirm what Orville has written , it is a superb place to take photographs from whether they are landing from the east or from the west . As a bonus movements into Heathrow can be easily monitored too . I usually just stay for about four hours at a cost of £5 .

For those in need of a toilet break there are a couple of hotels on the other side of the road to the car park and at least one of them has toilets just off the lobby (can’t remember the name of the hotels though) .
