Hi all,
if any of you thinking of going to Paris in June for the bi-annual Paris Air Show at Le Bourget then you may find the below information useful with regards to the photo permit that is required should you be touched by the hands of the law. Bear in mind that although you may not be taking photographs, you may be with someone that is and you will all be in the same boat together if offence is taken….
Please note that the photo permit is required for both Charles de Gaulle and Le Bourget now. Check out the below web link to get started with your application which can now be done by email. The information they need can be sent by way of pictures attached to the email.

“DOCUMENTS TO PROVIDE
A copy of the identity card or passport,
The readable address of the requester and his e-mail address,
1 legal format photograph for administrative documents
All the supporting documents must be sent by email to the following address: [email protected]
A period of 30 days is necessary to obtain the said authorization.”
So just send them an email (with picture attachments )which simply says…….
“Dear Sir/Madam
Please find the required documents attached for the Charles de Gualle and Le Bourget photo permit.”
I received my permit back attached to the email they sent me just two weeks after I had requested it.
If any of you fancy joining me for a few days spotting out there sometime between 16th to 19th June, then feel to get in touch. I would look to do the show at Le Bourget and also Charles de Gaulle, Orly, Toussus-le-Noble & Saint Cyr l’Ecole.
Best regards,
Grant Robinson
