Istres – Friday 27th to Saturday 28th September 2024
Join us for a quick trip to the South of France where the French Air Force will be holding an Open Day at Istres/Le Tubé, also known as BA125 nowadays. This base has not held an open day since 2016 and it is a rare chance to see the based A330MRTT (Phénix), remaining few active KC-135RG and various types operated by the DGA-EV flight test unit and EPNER, the French test pilot school.

After landing at Montpellier during the evening of Friday 27th, we will overnight near Nimes. Most of Saturday 28th, will be spent at Istres Open Day and as it seems to be celebrating the 90th anniversary of the French Air Force, you would expect to see a good selection of active French Air Force assets. We return back to London that evening after a quick look at Nimes for the stored ex French Air Force KC-135s on the way back.

Tour cost is £160 which covers flights, one nights hotel, ground transport & fuel. Entrance to the airshow is free. Not included is food.
