Hi all,
just finishing off the logging from the August Moscow trip we did and noticed that I had not tackled our short visit to Chisinau (Kishinev) in Moldova. We took this weird route home from Moscow to fly on a new airline for us and catch some of the many stored Russian types still to be found on the Chisinau ramp.
We arrived in the early hours from Moscow/Domodedovo, slept in the terminal for a few hours as there is no airport hotel and then departed back to Stansted around 1pm. This was enough time to glean the following log…..
Having completed a lengthy walk outside the terminal, we would only recommend this to go and see the Tu-134 on display. The best views for the airfield are from the terminal or your aircraft as you taxi in or out. No visa is required for UK passport holders to leave the terminal for a walk around.
