Bournemouth – Saturday 13th May 2023 (Grant Robinson)

Hi all,

Firstly thanks to all those people who gave a heads up on what was happening with regards to the delivery flight of the four Tunisian Air Force Texan II’s. Armed with the knowledge that these could be seen with ease at Bournemouth, whilst they refuelled, I packed the wife and dog into the car and off we went.

They had already been delayed that morning, so I didn’t leave home until I knew that all four were up from Glasgow and this meant that I missed their arrivals at Bournemouth due to traffic between Winchester and Southampton. This wasn’t supposed to be a problem as they were originally on a quick turn around of one hour, and so I would photograph them as they departed. Best laid plans and all that, they were again delayed (3 hours) and didn’t depart until after 4pm. We made good use of the waiting time on a dog friendly and sun soaked Bournemouth beach.
